Life Coaching

“Every choice moves us closer to or farther away from something. Where are your choices taking your life? What do your behaviors demonstrate that you are saying yes or no to in life? ”
― Eric Allenbaugh

Most people want more from their lives. Some know what they want but struggle to create this improved version of themselves, and others are unsure about what they want but know that something is missing.

The truth is, everything that you need to succeed is inside of you, waiting to be brought forward.

It can be hard to do it alone, even if you want to. Often, you are too close to the situation, and the moment you hit a challenge, it can completely throw you off track, creating huge delays in your progress. You might even decide these delays are signs you shouldn’t be doing this or, worse, give up your dream.

Sometimes, you need someone to help you recognize that spark of potential and support you in bringing it to the surface. A Coach supports and encourages you to bring forth your natural abilities, make positive changes, understand what is and isn’t working well, talk you through the tough times, and help you put a plan in place to get you back on track so that you can live to your fullest potential (or close to it).

To create more of what you want in life requires change, clarity, commitment, and showing up for yourself… plus letting go of how you’ve been doing some things. Working with someone who has only your best interest and well-being in mind can help you reach your goals and achieve your personal success.

What is the difference between counseling and life coaching?

Therapists and counselors deal with the past and treat trauma and neurosis. Life Coaches, motivational Speakers, and Spiritual Advisors help people recognize their highest potential, help them identify what they want, sort out what is getting in the way, help them come up with goals and accomplish those goals, and encourage them when times are tough.

What should I expect from a session?

I want to get to know you and find out what is getting in your way, your goals, and help you feel comfortable. I will answer any questions that you have, and explain the process. From there, we can come up with a plan.

How many sessions will I need?

Each person has a unique makeup, a unique set of goals, a unique budget, and a unique set of time restraints. We will build sessions around those elements.

It’s important to note that progress comes with repetition, commitment, and a desire to change. What are you willing to put into your healing journey?

Am I guaranteed to succeed?

Life Coaching is not magic; it’s a support system.  It helps you learn to communicate with yourself in a different way and gives you tools to carry on your journey.

I describe it like this: we can plant a beautiful garden, but it’s up to you if you want to eat from the garden or run through the drive-through. It’s totally up to you!

How do I prepare for my session?

Think about what it is you want to get out of your session. What are you struggling with? What is getting in your way? What made you reach out for help?

Take time to write down your questions or concerns and have an open mind. Struggle comes from getting in your own way, only seeing one side of things, being stubborn, and being too close to the situation to get a different perspective.
